There is a simple joy in slicing a watermelon in half with one perfect swipe. Fruit ninja takes that feeling and turns it into a game: fruit flies up from the bottom of the screen, you swipe through it, and juicy halves fly everywhere. One rule keeps things spicy — touch a bomb and your run is over. Hit Play above and the official free version opens in a new tab.

How to Play Fruit Ninja

Your cursor is a blade. Swipe across the screen to slice every piece of fruit that launches upward. Slicing several fruits in one swipe builds a combo that multiplies your score. Bombs appear mixed in with the fruit — slice one and you lose a life (or the whole run, depending on the mode). Miss too many fruits and the round ends.

The Three Classic Modes

Classic — the original: three lives, three misses or one bomb and you are done. Pure skill, highest stakes.

Zen — no bombs, 90 seconds on the clock. Slice as much fruit as you can. Perfect for learning combo timing.

Arcade — 60 seconds of chaos: bombs everywhere, but also power-up bananas that double scores, freeze time, and trigger fruit frenzies.

Controls

Move your mouse (or finger on touch screens) to swipe the blade. There are no buttons to learn — speed and aim are everything.

5 Tips for Higher Scores

1. Swipe big. Long, fast swipes catch more fruit at once and build combos faster than short jabs.

2. Wait for clusters. Do not swipe at every single fruit — let them bunch up, then cut the whole group.

3. Learn bomb rhythm. Bombs usually launch differently from fruit. Watch the first second of every launch before committing.

4. Corner-to-corner cuts. Diagonal slashes across the screen cover the most area.

5. Chase combos, not fruit. Three fruits in one swipe scores far more than three separate swipes.
